Well… actually she’s leaving town… at least for the Holidays. 🙂 You see… She’s made her list… she’s checked it twice. She knows who’s been naughty… and she knows who’s been especially nice. Heck… she even knows one very special lady who’s managed to combine the two juuuuust right to do her best to try to help a certain melancholy Catgirl fight her moody Winter Blues. 😉
So what does that mean?
Why it’s time for “Santa Neko” to grab her sack full of Christmas Joy and make her annual pilgrimage to the in-laws for a Holiday of fun and frolics with her adorable wife and the family yet again. No magical sleigh… no enchanted reindeer… but we do have Carolyn’s trusty Toyota and my big ol’ thermos of Hot Cocoa to help us on our journey over hill and dale, Hehehe.
I know I’ve been absent for a reeeeaallly long time here at the ol’ Litterbox, but even though this is just a quick post, I did want to wish all my Gentle Visitors a “Happy Holidays” from both of us before we left. Winter has pretty much drained my mood this year, leaving me even more lethargic and apathetic than usual, I’m sorry to say, but I’m hoping the Holiday will lift my spirits and free me from my doldrums.
Keep your fingers crossed, and maybe when we get back home “Santa Neko” will have a late surprise for those of you who’ve been good little boys and girls this year… or at least a new Review or two. If my “Magical Catgirl powers” hold out that is… 😉
Even though the snow is oddly absent round these parts, a peek at the calendar tells this wee lady that Christmas is right around the corner. As always, my sweetie and I are making our annual pilgrimage to Sandra’s so we can both bask in the warm glow of family for the holiday. Starting tomorrow, we’ll be gone for the whole weekend, but before we headed out I figured I’d break my streak of “silent running” to wish all my Gentle Visitors, on both our behalves, all the best for their very own holiday celebrations this season. ❤
Yes, yes… I know…. I’ve been really missing hereabouts for the last couple months, but my recent personal hormonal spasms have been really rough and left me pretty wiped out and totally without either inspiration or ambition no matter what I seem to try. I’ve been hoping to thrash my way through it and get back to sorts but apparently… darn it… it’s pretty much transformed me into about the laziest, most procrastinating doofus when it comes right down to it. Grrrrr!!
Hmmmph!! Well… one way or another… I plan to shake this all off. Maybe Santa will sneak up and smack me upside the head and get me motivated, but even if old Saint Nick fails to do so, I’m determined to start paying attention to things ’round the ol’ Litterbox again once we return from our break.
No promises… (You all know how I always seem to fall through on those…) but I have really missed my blogging and my many Internet friends and want sooooo soooo badly to feel all goofy and normal again so I can share with you all once more. That’s my “New Years Resolution” for 2016 I guess….
Anyways… my bestest wishes and a big Holiday Catgirl Hug to you all and “Merry Christmas to All!!”
So… it’s December 31st and as 2014 quickly fades away and a bright sparkly new year awaits me, I finally find myself with a day off and the chance to update my Diary here at the Litterbox and fill all my gentle Visitors in on the details of our Holiday trip to visit the family.
“The family”. Our family… They love us and want us in their lives. No matter what. As the frosty “cold war” between Carolyn and her Mom continues, they’ve been till now acting pretty much like neutral Switzerland, bridging the divide between East and West…. figuratively speaking. But not anymore.
Unhappy that Carolyn hasn’t crumbled, Mrs. Simms upped the ante this Thanksgiving by deciding to try to cut us off from Sandra and the clan by going out-of-the-way to impose herself on them for Holiday visits… trying to intimidate Carolyn in some stupid effort to hurt and punish her further. But it’s not going to work. Sandra put her foot down and basically told her Mom that even if Mrs. Simms wanted to break up her own family with this, we were always going to be a part of hers. Sandra loves her “big sister”… and me too, it seems.
How could we not want to hang out for the Christmas Holiday with loving supportive people like her and her family? Wanna hear what we got up to this time out? Hehehe…. then by now, you know the drill… 😉
Psst! This way for more!
Well, it’s almost here… Eeeeeee!!!!… and this wee Catgirl is happy to say Carolyn and I are off for the next 3 days to visit with her sister’s family for the Holiday… Yay!! I was soooo worried we wouldn’t get the chance to keep our Holiday tradition alive after Carolyn’s parents went to visit with them over Thanksgiving last month. It appears my worries were right, and it was indeed an escalation by Mrs. Simms to try to isolate us from spending any time with Sandra and her family. But… Sandra headed her off from making a visit again for Christmas by telling her she’d already promised the spare room for us to stay over. She didn’t go into any details when she called to let us know they were expecting us, but I know she must have taken some serious flak for that. Nope. Glad I wasn’t privy to that conversation….
Anyways… we’re almost out the door to go, but I didn’t want to leave without a quick wish to all my regular Gentle Visitors, casual readers, and distant blogging friends for a “Very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all!!”
Awwww… heck… and what would a “Nekolishous Catgirl Christmas” be without a horror themed video goodie? Here’s a video for all you good lil’ boys and girls… Wierd Al Yankovic with “The Night Santa Went Crazy”… Hehehe… Yep, I’m such a twisted lil’ dweeb at times. 😉
Greetings again from this wee Movie Lovin’ Catgirl’s Icebox… errrrr…. I mean Litterbox. Yep. Winter has come along and dumped a veritable butt-load of ice all across the landscape hereabouts the last couple of days, and while Winter is not usually this lady’s ally the recent deep freeze has resulted in practically everything coming to a complete halt and for once that’s a good thing. A very good thing.
With the roads closed to traffic, yours truly has been blissfully off from work the last two days, trapped in our little apartment…. just me, my sweetie, and our lil kitty Ting-Ting. Two whole entire days together with no interruptions…. no visitors…. and absolutely nothing to do but snuggle, cuddle, and laze about while we enjoy the quality “Us” time. No power failures…. plenty of warmth and food and all the good things this lady’s needed badly. Yay!!! Thank you Winter….. 🙂
The Ice Storm is tapering off this afternoon, and it looks like we’re going to get the perfect window to make our way down to Sandra’s for the Holiday, probably leaving early tomorrow. I’m thinking we won’t be back til Friday afternoon at the earliest. (If my new found ally Old Man Winter doesn’t decide to blast us with enough bizzardy stuff to “force” us to stay with the family a wee bit longer that is….. 😉 )
But before we go, there’s just enough time to wish all our friends, family, and all of my Gentle Visitors here at the Litterbox our warmest Holiday wishes and I hope you have a wonderful time this most festive of seasons…. “Merry Christmas and Meow, Meow till next time!!”
Whew…. Well, it’s official…. 2012 is sooooo gone. A new year is now upon us along with a new promise of fun and frolic for us all. Ahhhh…. but first…. even though 2013 has begun, there’s still some time to drink some hot cocoa and do a quick last “Diary” post of 2012’s final memories here at the ol’ “Litterbox” to bring all my gentle visitors up to date on the latest goings-on in the life of your Favorite Catgirl Princess. 😉
Christmas. Naturally… after the fun we had at Thanksgiving, there was no doubt that we’d wouldn’t want to miss out on our invitation to celebrate again with Sandra and the family. (Family Holiday Traditions…. looks like we now have one!! Yay!!) I got lucky this year and was able to steal away 3 whole days for Carolyn and myself to spend together… which is actually quite a lot for lil’ ol’ me to manage. So? What the heck did we do with ourselves?
C’mon…. you all know the drill by now. Yes…yes… That’s your cue. It’s time to “Read On” and find out for yourselves…. silly!! 😉
Well… Christmas has come and gone as December quickly fades away taking 2011 right along with it. Soon a brand spankin’ new year will be here to replace it, but before then, your Favorite Catgirl has actually managed to sneak aside a couple more days off to relax and bask in the glow of all the things that have made the Holidays special for her.
Oh, yes… and that also means it’s “Diary Time” again for all my regular Gentle Visitors so you can catch up on the life of this lil’ Catgirl…. So… sit back, get comfy, pour yourself a steamy cup of cocoa, and make yourselves at home. Oh…. and of course, by all means “Read On”…. 😉
So… just when you think that nothing terrible can happen around the Holidays it goes ahead and does…. The dreaded Zombie Outbreak finally arrives. Don’t ya just hate that?
So you say you’ve decked the halls, hung the mistletoe, egged the nog, hung all the stockings with care, and basically done all the right stuff to make for a festive holiday mood around the ol’ homestead this Holiday season. But… has all this “Peace On Earth” and “Goodwill towards Men” made you lose track of all the important… if somewhat unlikely… household tasks that need doing? Like checking the integrity of your barbed wire perimeter? Testing the land mines in the back yard to see they still have what it takes? Seeing that all your various pointy weapons of choice can do more than just carve a juicy holiday turkey? These are important questions after-all…..
Well, your Favorite Catgirl wants to make certain all her Gentle Visitors remember that even now, in this most holly jolly time of the year, it never hurts to be just that wee bit prepared for the onslaught of the walkin’ dead that are just certain to be hiding out there somewhere waiting to strike if years and years of movie watchin’ hasn’t steered me wrong…. Or rotted my lil’ brain and psychologically scarred me for life. (Ummmm? It hasn’t…. right?)
So, for those of you in need of guidance I present another valuable public service film to help sort out those last minute preparations. A nifty “Christmas Guide to Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse”.
By all means “Read On”…. Remember, better to be safe than sorry.
Almost the end of the month… and 2011 is just around the corner, but there’s still just enough time for this lil’ Catgirl to squeeze in just a tiny bit more Holiday Cheer before the New Year’s festivities arrive.
Been a quiet month here at the ol’ Litterbox, and your Favorite Catgirl owes you more than a few new Reviews, but as you know by now, I’m often more than a bit flaky about keeping up things when the “Real World” gets hectic and crazy for me. Really, really sorry ’bout that…. honest, Gentle Visitors…… Hopefully I’ll get the chance to do some more new stuff soon…. but probably not until the new year rolls around and lets me breathe again.
Still… I did have some “personal time” over the Holiday, along with a quick trip to Carolyn’s Sister’s place for some “family time”, and I know you all wanna know how my Christmas went, so without further adieu, here’s a peek at what went on for me!
Brrrr!! It’s c-c-c-cold outside!! The snow is really startin’ to pile up here and that can only mean one thing, it’s almost Christmas!
Been sometime since I had the spare moments to collect my thoughts and do a proper Diary update here at the ol’ Litterbox, but given that it’s 4 in the mornin’ and your favorite restless Catgirl is awake and doin’ little or nothing but sitting in the living room watching the seemingly endless snow fall in slow motion from the darkened sky it seemed like just the time to fix that. Firstly… I thought I’d wish everybody the best of luck for their own Holiday season, goodness knows everybody can use all the good cheer they can get these days.
So what’s Neko been up to lately? I wish I could say I’ve been busy kick starting my new career as jet setting cosplay supermodel by day and crime-fighting, zombie killing, international super spy by night….. but unfortunately that’s still merely a personal fantasy daydream of mine at the moment…. Hehehe!!
Nope… as usual, the time right after Thanksgiving leading up to Christmas is a busy time for me work-wise filled with catering, parties at the restaurant, and a general frenzy of trying to figure out how to get it all done while still managing to accommodate everybody’s desire for time off. It normally means that yours truly ends up covering all that extra time and pulling my hair out at the inevitable last minute things that crop up to mess with my own personal plans.
But that’s the boring stuff…. if you want the more “personal” details then you are just gonna have to “Read On”…… (Betcha’ saw that one coming, Hehehehe!!)
