It’s heeerrrreee!!! After a long month of waiting the “Big Night” has finally arrived, so was your Favorite Catgirl ready to “Trick or Treat” herself silly with some “Girls Gone Wild” style vampire cosplay action?
Last minute costume stuff was fine tuned last week, so we were definitely ready. Halloween itself fell on Sun but all the best parties, including the costume contest we wanted to enter, were all set for Saturday night so it wasn’t hard for Samantha to convince me to go out for our fun a whole day early.
Besides…. that meant I could be home Sunday night for the premiere of AMC’s new Zombie Apocalypse TV series, “The Walking Dead”….. Hehehehe!!!! Yay! More Zombies for Neko!! Never a bad thing in this girl’s book….
But how did the partying go? Well…. if you want all the juicy details fit to print, you’ll just have to “Read On” and find out, won’t ya?
I must say…. this year’s Halloween has been the most intricate bit of planning and costuming I’ve done since my old days back in college. It put last year’s effort to shame, and was just about the most fun I’ve had with things outside of my time here at the Litterbox in quite some time. I have to say…. it makes me feel really blessed to have both Carolyn and Sam in my life to give this lady the proper playmates for when I get the crazy cosplay itch now and again and feel the need to get childish and silly like this for an evening of goofy fun…
And fun we did indeed have…. I rushed home right after work early Saturday afternoon with Sam so we could get Carolyn off to the salon for a proper hairstyling to suit our needs. She’s got lovely ash blond hair that falls just below her shoulders, and it would be a shame to hide it under a wig, but her current look was just far too… “modern” to suit the image we wanted. Ahhhh…. and not really suited for one of my “Surprise Treats” as well. I thought we might gather her hair into a soft “ballet bun” like she used to wear back in college sometimes…. and to top that off a pretty jet and silver diadem on a head-chain for her forehead….. just like a proper Princess of the Night ought to wear. Beautiful and perfect… and she loved it too, even if she did scold me for spending too much money on her….
Sam had her’s done as well… getting her long hair done in a series of crinkled waves and adding a few tiny little braids extensions with a mix of sliver beads, faux rubies and a couple of pewter skulls (originally intended as knife lanyards if you’d believe it…. Hehehehe!!) to frame her face. Topped off with a little silver gothic tiara, she also managed a great unique look overall.
Then it was back to the apartment to do our makeup and get into the rest of our costumes. On went our gowns… the lovely sashes and coin belts…. more decadently rich looking jewelry… (including a lovely silver “Bollywood inspired” piece of “foot jewelry” for me to wear with my pretty brocade trimmed sandals) and we were ready!!.
By now…. it was well past twilight, and so we decided to head out to have a lil’ snack before making the early rounds of the bars and clubs. Thankfully… we’d already decided to wait to put on our fangs!! While looking soooo neat, it must take some bit of work to get used to them for doing even the simplest things with your mouth. Errr? Ummm? Now wait… that didn’t sound quite right….. (Hehehe…. such a devilish lil tease of a Catgirl I am….)
From the looks we got, I knew we’d achieved our goal of making our Brides both sexy as well as dangerous…. not too dangerous that we weren’t getting some serious attention from the guys at the bistro…. Ahhhh…. if only they knew.
The bars were filling up by the time we started making the rounds…. and it wasn’t long before we ended up at the club where the costume contest would be held. This was gonna be a hard won battle!! There were some others who also put work into things this year… going all out and really succeeding with their efforts as well. But I was confident…. we had the looks… and by the appreciative flirting from a few guys in the crowd, we definitely had the exploitative sexiness down pat. Even Carolyn had gotten into the spirit of things, vamping it up and making certain to give me all the right “Lesbian Vampire” attention to push it to the ultimate extreme of campy fun.
Not that Sam was left out of things…. It wasn’t too long after our arrival that she managed to catch the eye of a tall, dark, and hunky guy named Jeff, a grad student in engineering from the college where Carolyn works, doing his best “Fabio meets Dracula” impression. They really hit it off and after that… the Brides had their Count for the rest of the evening and I was certain we’d nail the contest for sure. At least until some of the other college students arrived….
They were amazing!! Video game characters, movie homages, “Star Wars” fans…. they all came out in force that evening. Even including one adorably tiny (even more delicate and petite than wee lil’ me!!) Korean exchange student in schoolgirl uniform with an amazing Gatling gun arm right out of “Machine Girl”… Once we saw her actually activate the rotating barrels of that great prop, we truly got worried. For fun, we hissed and snarled at her, baring our fangs while draping ourselves protectively around the “Count”, and she reciprocated by waving her gun/arm at us and “hosing us full of lead”.
The evening continued…. we had drinks, (far too many in my case…), we danced, Sam and Jeff got to chat and get to know each other (He actually turned out to be a great, funny, interesting guy, and I’ve got my lil’ paws crossed that he found Sam as intriguing and sexy as she found him. Hope, hope!!) But finally…. when the Witching Hour arrived, the winner of the evening was our lil’ Korean girl…. with us coming in second. Ah well…. we still had fun and that’s the whole point anyway!!
The evening finally ended…. and before we all turned into Pumpkins or something, Sam gave us a ride back to the apartment, said her good night, and Carolyn and I carefully climbed out of our disguises to crawl into bed for a much needed cuddle and the sleep that was rapidly trying to claim lil’ ol’ me. Still… before I nodded off, Carolyn gave me a big hug and made me as happy as I could be by telling me how much she was glad I’d pushed her into this evening. She’s always been the more serious of the two of us, and she told me that being with me like we were tonight had made her feel just like a girl again… something she’d never felt with any of her other serious lovers over the years, and something she wanted to have with me forever.
Even as sleepy and somewhat tipsy as I was, I was really touched. How could I have been so thick headed and missed her and all this for so long? I don’t know, but I’m sooo glad we have each other now. It was a very happy moment and a perfect end to a perfect evening.
Here’s to hoping your Halloween was as magical…. and till next time, “Meow, meow for now!”
