“Cinco De Mayo” Neko-style!!

Well….. Ok…..

So maybe  “Cinco De Mayo” has come and gone…. and although I did have some fun with it at the restaurant on Saturday, I’m thinking, that perhaps  this bit of goofy video I bumped into over at Twitchfilm says it all about how just about anything can be made better…. with ninjas!!

“Kung Fu Cooking Girls” – My Dream Come True….

There are days… while surfing about the Web that I come across something that tickles my fancy and brings me back to memories of the days when I was just a wee lil’ girl, who more than anything in the whole wide world, wanted to be all “kung fu-y” and badass…. just like all those amazing women in the cheesy kung fu films that filled my Saturday afternoon TV watching.

Sure… there was always a Hero in those films….but the girls….. they looked just like me!! They had the same dark hair… the same eyes… the same tiny delicate build…. but nobody, and I mean nobody, ever messed with them (except the Evil villian of course… but then that’s his job, Hehehe!!). For a little Asian girl growing up in the US…. and the only Asian girl in my school at the time… these were potent images that always reminded me that I too, could one day grow up to be both exotic, pretty, as well as kick serious butt… just like the boys. (Maybe even better… )

In that spirit…. I was always a bit disappointed that I never did gain any of those crazy mad martial art skills, becoming instead a cook in my Grown-up years. Outside of some Tai Chi classes waaay back in college, I’ve never ever had the opportunity to study anything as amazing as that. Usually… except for a movie now and again… I almost forget the fanciful dreams of a little girl and her “Kung Fu Princess” aspirations…. But then…. along comes a cute, nifty lil’ cartoon to remind me that there are always possibilities that you can somehow manage to still be both….

Cyborg Mind-Reading Cat Ears?

My goodness! Just when this wee Catgirl thinks nothing stranger can come from the Land Of The Rising Sun, they go and surprise me with something new…

How about a pair of wearable (and utterly adorable) Cat Ears for the budding Nekomimi wannabees among us? Not completely sold yet? What if I told you they can read your mind…. or at least your brain waves and display your emotions and feelings for all the world to see? Yep…. now you’re interested. After-all… what girl wouldn’t want their own super cute “Bionic Neuro Communication machine”? This new lil’ feline fashion statement, called the “Necomimi” is described as being able to read your brain waves, interpret those impulses, and then send them to the ears which then move depending on how you feel – Straight up if you’re serious or concentrating on a task or falling down if you are relaxed or content. Wow…. now where have these been all my life?

As somebody who’s worn the “Ears and Tail” more than a time or two in my life, I can tell you if I wasn’t such a grown-up woman I’d be soooo all over a pair of these!! But don’t take my word for it… check out this promo video from their maker, Japanese company Neurowear.

Hmmmmm? Wonder just how expensive they’ll be? Errrr… Ummm… Not that I’m thinking of buying a pair mind you…. (But they would make an adorable gift….. =^.^=)
